I have had the opportunity to own a number of Manchester United home shirts of different football heroes. Bearing this in mind, I have been able to rank these shirts to identify the three that I would think are the most wonderful shirts I have ever owned.

11. Ryan Giggs

One of the best Manchester United home shirts I have ever worn was the number 11 shirt for Ryan Giggs. Without Ryan Giggs, it is almost impossible to think of Manchester United. I have watched Ryan Giggs play for United ever since 1990 and whenever I know we have a home game, I wear my home shirt. For a footballer who has achieved everything that he could ever achieve with his club, Ryan Giggs ranks as one of the best footballers not just for Manchester United but in football as a whole. He has played in each of the Premier League seasons and has been able to score in each and every season. The most memorable moment for me was in the 1999 final of the FA Cup when he scored what in my opinion was one of the greatest goals every scored. United shirts with the number 11 have been a great favorite not just for me but for so many other Manchester United fans.

7. Cristiano Ronaldo

Some of the highest sales of Manchester United home shirts came during the time when Cristiano Ronaldo was a Manchester United player. The speedy and tricky Portuguese joined Manchester for £12 million and went on to become one of the most revered players in Manchester United. With a very keen eye for goal and a habit of getting in behind defenders to score cheeky goals, Ronaldo quickly etched his name on the hearts of many Manchester United fans. I purchased a number of Manchester United home shirts with Ronaldo's name for the simple reason that since the time he joined the team, Manchester United has always looked a threat. His partnership with Wayne Rooney was simply electric and in 2008 when he won the Ballon d’Or award he scored a whooping 42 goals en route to winning the UEFA Champions League for Manchester United.

7. Eric Cantona

Giving a man a shirt number that had been worn by George Best and Bryan Robson was always going to send a message out there; a new gem had been discovered. It can be said that Cantona's signing for Manchester United was one of the reasons why the Red Devils were able to dominate England. Cantona's skill and cheekiness made me love his game so much that I bought a number of Manchester United home shirts (or as the Danes say Manchester United hjemmebanetrøjer Fodboldonline) with his name and number. In his very first season with Manchester United, he made sure that the Red Devils won the Premier League with an extra 10 points to spare and this was United's very first league trophy since 1967. He was the very first player to go ahead and win the English domestic league top division with different clubs. Naturally, the shirts with Cantona’s name were a hot cake for everyone including myself.
