UK Tier Visa Guide: Steps to Get Tier 4 Student Visa

And thus, the student community in and around the world carve to learn in these top institutions.  The basic step in starting in the path towards education in the UK is obtaining the Tier 4 student visa from the outside UK. Step 1 –  Financial evidence

Applying for the UK Tier Visa involves the officials gaining confidence that one can be financially sound enough and sustaining.  The bank statements (if parents would pay) / sponsorship letter(if sponsored) must be prepared, including tuition fees, of course, living and additional living expenses (if any).

Step 2 - Documents

All original academic certificates, as well as the academic transcripts, evid4ence of English Language proficiency certificate, Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the prospective university to learn, Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate (if needed) has to be made ready.

Step 3 – tuition fee deposit

Depending on the course, a  tuition deposit of £2,000 might be required for receiving CAS, which must be paid. But, undergraduate courses and postgraduate research programs don’t need any.

Step  5 – application form

After preparing all the aforementioned documents, an online Visa application form can be filled, and the visa application fee, as well as the Immigration Health Surcharge for entire duration of the study, must be paid, and all necessary documents are submitted.

Step 6 -  location for obtaining BRP

While submitting an online application, the location where one would collect the biometric residence permit (BRP) card must also be specified.  BRP card is a crucial immigration document approved full Tier 4 visa and is available only after entering the UK. After an online application for Visa, the visa application center would schedule an appointment for the collection of necessary evidence, biometrics(fingerprints & photo). A credibility interview can also be hosted for checking if the supplicant is genuinely a student. 

Step 8 – Entry vignette

After processing the visa application, the passport would return to the applicant with a sticker(vignette)in a blank page, along with a decision letter that accepted confirmation, enlists the time span of visa, and favored BRP collection location. If Visa is rejected, adequate reasons would be stated.

Step 9 – Collecting BRP

The final step is collecting the BRP within ten days of arrival in the UK( for a visa of six or fewer months) that requires the Passport, with entry vignette, and the visa decision letter.
