The National Eligibility Test is conducted by the UGC in 78 subjects at 74 selected university centers around the country.The NET enables a candidate to apply for lectureship or for joining Research Fellowship in colleges. If you want to take up teaching as a profession in colleges and universities having a post graduate degree or a doctoral degree then you must take the National Eligibility Test to qualify for the same. The Results for NET 2015 will be released on the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education. The result will not be announced or delivered to each candidate individually.The results will publish the names of the candidates who qualify for the awards of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post -Graduation or in a related subject. These candidates are also eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.

Marking Scheme

1. The Junior Research Fellowship award and the eligibility for Assistant Professor is based on the minimum marks obtained by the candidate in NET. These marks must be secured in every individual paper i.e., Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3.

2. The names of the candidates who qualify in the above requirement will be put in a merit list prepared according to the composed as per the marks in the subjects in UGC NET Result 2015 and respective candidate categories. This would represent the aggregate marks achieved by the candidate of all the three papers.

3. Only those candidates who make it to the top 15% for each subject and category in the merit list will be declared as NET 2015 qualified and eligible for Assistant Professor posts.

4. A separate Merit list will be made to award the Junior Research Fellowship among the NET qualified candidates who figure in the merit list prepared before.

1. The first step is to visit the official website of the UGC.
2. You will then be asked to enter your roll number, application number and date of birth.
3. Next, direct yourself to the link indicating the results.
4. Take a printout of the mark sheet for further reference.
