Two Bangladesh Militant Die In Hideout Blast - Police
A Banned Bangladeshi Islāmic group lost two of her hardcore followers in an explosion which took place in Dhaka as authorities hunted them down to their hideout enclave. This is the third consecutive raid organised by authority in four days in order to smoke out the militants as reported by AFP Dhaka. The raid on the militant was carried on by the Rapid Action Battalion and was believed to have
taken place just after midnight in Gazipur, 40 kilometres (25 miles) north of Dhaka, where it was discovered that an abandoned house was secretly being used as a fortress by the militant for their terror activities. This was confirmed by the spokesman of the élite police.
The story goes that when the élite police got to the house the suspected followers of Jamayetul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) started hurling bombs and targeting them with missiles which made the police open fire on them. At the end of the confrontation two dead people were found in the building.
The report quoted an RAB official spokesman Major Rumman Mahmud as saying "We opened fire at them after a law enforcer was injured as the JMB militants hurled an IED (improvised explosive device) at our officers when we surrounded the house," "After we shot several rounds of bullets we heard an explosion inside the den. Later we found two bodies lying on the floor,"
The police discovered these items listed below: unexploded IEDs, grenades, a pistol, bullets and JMB propaganda leaflets in their hideout. This raid was particularly essential because the militant had now started killing unsuspecting foreigners and nonchalantly attacked a naval base and mosque.
