Herewith we had mentioned some of the common difference between a Tubed and Tubeless tyre:

1.       Puncture:In a tubed tyre, the air goes out instantly if got punctured and the vehicle stops down with a jerk within no time or sometime gets imbalanced; however in case of a tubeless tyre, the air goes out very slowly through a narrow escape and the vehicle keeps on running up to a certain distance (with a certain speed) and the driver also does not loses its control over the vehicle and is able to handle it safely without any jerk or discomfort.

2.       Fuel efficiency:As composed of a different rubber compound enriching silica, the tubeless tyres offer lower rolling resistance and thus are more fuel efficient. On the contrary, tubed tyres are made up of more natural rubber compound mix and hence offer does not reduces much rolling resistance and are less fuel efficient.

3.       Tyre weight:Tubed tyres are much heavier in weight as contain a tube beneath it; however tubeless tyres are mostly weightless (as does not contain any tube inside it) and are easy to carry and fit.

4.       Safety:With a tubed tyre, a driver mostly loses its control over the vehicle when a tyre burst out suddenly due to a puncture making a huge sound and causing misbalance often resulting into an accident. However, this does not happens in the case of a tubeless tyre where the driver or the vehicle does not get affected much with the loss in air pressure.

5.       Puncture repairing process and cost:The puncture repairing process in a tubed tyre is much more complex and expensive in comparison to a tubeless tyre where the tyre is first taken out of the vehicle and then is the tube in the former one; however there does not arises any such need in the latter case.

6.       Cost of tyre: A tubed tyre is less expensive in comparison and is easily available for all the vehicle type and in all the sizes. On the other hand, a tubeless tyre is quite expensive and could be used only in certain type of vehicles.

7.       Possibility of tyre puncture: The probability of a tyre puncture rises manifold in case of a tubed tyre due to the structural underlining of tube beneath it; however it may not be the case of tubeless tyres which are less prone to punctures and generally lasts long.
