Travel Wallets and Note Sleeve Wallets from Bellroy

by Greg T. Writter

Bellroy is a high-end designer company specializing in wallets. They have made up their minds to make a complete change over in the way wallets are used and made. Wallets are made of thin leather but have liners to give a feeling of luxury. If one makes provisions for credit cards and coins pockets, even an empty wallet becomes quite bulky. To make their wallets lean and thin, Bellroy have used thicker leather to provide a touch of luxury, masculinity and of course strength. The net result is a pretty slim and trim wallet.

The Bellroy note sleeve wallet is one that has adopted the principle mentioned above. As the name suggest, it is bare enough to fit a wad of notes and credit cards. There is a tab that you can pull to slide out your cards as they make a tight fit and the leather being quite thick doesn’t give much. The compact wallet is excellent and fits coolly into your hip pockets or pant pockets. You will be comfortable with it along with your car keys or phone.

The Bellroy travel wallet is a very different story. The travel wallet is highly recommendable for people engage in international travel quite frequently. International travel means carrying your passport all the time with you. Luckily the passport size is small enough to fit into your pockets. However, no one really likes to carry the bare passport in pockets as it is too precious a document to lose. What people end up with is to carry a smaller bag or folder to hold all your travel documents. If you are traveling on business and need to carry briefcases full of paperwork it makes sense to carry your passport with it. Otherwise carrying an extra bag just for the safety of your passport is a little bothersome. It is all te more bothersome when you need to visit restrooms at airports. To get you out of this predicament, the Bellroy guys have designed a great travel wallet whose basic purpose is to accommodate the passport. As a result of that decision the wallet is a bit of a handful but better than carrying another bag. The wallet being big has three pouches for credit cards which is great. What is greater relief is that it has a small pocket to hold microSD cards and mobile phone SIM cards that otherwise people are forced to carry in the coin compartment. The big size also accommodates the complete boarding pass and other travel documents if needed.
