Overview

Your Bike - Your Style! This Fixed Gear / Single Speed is completely unbranded. No logos or graphics, just solid color. The frame and fork is hi-ten steel with alloy seat post and stem. It comes equipped with front and rear brakes and a flip-flop rear hub for easy conversion from single speed to fixed gear (just flip the rear wheel).

The Good

The Single Speed Road Bike is competitively priced, offering decent value for money. The chromoly steel frame is solidly constructed and is easy to put together with only the front wheel, handlebars, seat post and saddle requiring assembly. Although its single speed, the bike is quite fast on flat roads, thanks to the high gearing. Many owners of the Single Speed Road Bike have bought it because its affordable and offers plenty of upgrading options allowing you to transform your Road Bike into a truly unique and customized ride. This can be done without significant additional expense. There is also the ability to switch between standard freewheel and fixed modes via a flip-flop feature.

The Bad

There are a few cons to the Single Speed Road Bike that should be borne in mind by the prospective buyer. Some of the parts don't have the build quality that some customers expected. The pedals are one such example, with the brakes being another. However, the parts are functional and can always be upgraded later with minor additional expense.

Bottom Line

The unbranded Single Speed Road Bike offers excellent ride quality and durability, great for commuters. It has a strong steel frame, a rear flip-flop hub, and is geared for speed on flat roads. The stock parts are fairly basic, and if you don’t like to tinker about, you’ll find them functional enough for regular commuting. The bike truly shines though in its customizability, the frame serving as a blank canvas waiting for a personal touch. Don’t like the pedals? Replace them for better ones. Saddle too stiff? Replace it. Brakes too weak? Upgrade them. Dull look? Splash some paint and add your own graphics. Since the bike is priced well, don't hestitate to make it your own.
