Channa Mereya lyrics is a sad song from the romantic movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The main star cast includes Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. The entire movie revolves around them. The movie describes one sided love from Ranbir's side but Anushka treated him just as a best friend. The movie has various twists like towards the end Ranbir came to know that Anushka Sharma was at Fourth stage of cancer and was about to die. 

Channa Mereya lyrics was sung by Ranbir Kapoor when Anushka Sharma was being married to Fawad Khan. The Film is shot in London and is directed by Karan Johar . Initially film also came across screening issue by a political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena due to some terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. One major issue which also led to the screening issue was the involvement of Pakistan actor Fawad Khan as the release of flims having Pakistan actor/actress is banned in fours states namely Maharashtra, Gujrat, karnataka and Goa.

Despite of all such issue finally on 20 october, 2016 Mukesh Bhatt announced the screening of the film across the country without any violence. 

     The film was a major hit and on the very first day earned 13.30 crores. The thing which is most liked by people is the combination of love and friendship in the entire screenplay. The movie also became a hit because of it's superhit song Channa Mereya lyrics sung by Arijit singh and written by the famous lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya. The song became a major sensation and hit the market with it's sorrowful vocals.
