Top reasons why dentists outsource blog writing (and why you should too)

by PRC Agency PR

Getting Dentist Appointments Without The Hype

Writing blogs about teeth whitening longevity, shade improvement expectations, or dental surgery recovery times is most likely not the first thing that springs to your mind while you are pondering over the best ways to attract more patients to your dental practice. Organic content is, however, a crucial aspect of effective dental marketing that holds great potential for enhancing your website's performance and getting more exposure in search engine results without relying on paid ads.

Pain-Free Dental Marketing

If you still don't quite get it, let's put it this way: blogging is like brushing your teeth - the more frequently you do it, the brighter your smile will be. Posting fresh and relevant content regularly on your website plays a vital role in determining your practice's ranking on search engines. Getting featured on the first page of Google and Bing will drive higher numbers of visitors to your website, which will inevitably bring along more phone calls and inquiries from potential patients.

Of course, blogging was not a part of your dental school curriculum and SEO is not part of your job description, so all this fuss about content and its impact on search engine rankings may still seem all Greek to you. In fact, creating unique, coherent, and neat blogs can feel as daunting as wisdom tooth extraction and I wouldn't blame you for that!

While it's more than obvious that blogging is essential for dentists to stay ahead of the game, let's take a moment to consider the potential obstacles that may be standing in your way of maintaining a constantly updated blog section.

So here comes...

Reason #1 - It's not as easy as it seems

Indeed, blogging might seem straightforward, but understanding the process takes considerable time (and practice!). Grasping the lingo and mastering the mechanics, from layout design to pinpointing the right keywords, could have you dedicating every midday break for weeks to get a solid grip on it all before you begin to feel at ease.

Reason #2– It’s not high on your list of priorities

Your practice growth is crucial, but patients should come first! Juggling patient appointments, staff management, meeting with sales representatives, and handling all that admin work...you know the drill (pun intended). You already have a lot on your plate - and dedicating time to researching keywords and writing blogs can shift your attention away from what matters most.

Reason #3 – You'll still need an editor

Even if you have writing talent and you are up for the task, you will still need the assistance of a professional editor. You need that second set of eyes to not only spot typos and syntax slips but also ensure your message is concise, clear, and well-presented to your readers.

If I were in your shoes, I would say yes to blogging, but hire someone else to do it for me!
