Top Handmade Friendship Day Gifts for Children

Friendship Day is
only weeks away, and all children must be looking forward to it. They must be
thinking about how they can surprise their friends and the gifts they should
get for their friends.
Though there are
plenty of readymade gifts for kids in shops, some kids may want to make their
own gifts for their friends. So, here are some interesting Friendship Day gift
ideas for your kids.
1. Flower Cards
Things You Need:
· Clay in many
colors
· Card paper in
many colors
· Sketch pens in
many colors
· A tube of glue
· A pair of
scissors
How To Make
Them
1. Make balls in
different colors and sizes by rolling the clay. But they must not be too big.
2. Keep the clay
balls on a flat surface. First, press the biggest ball and flatten it. Then
take the second biggest ball and place it on the first one. Press this ball
hard too. Now take the smallest of the clay balls and keep it on top of the
second clay ball. Make it flat.
3. Roll some more
clay and make long, thin stems for the flowers.
Keep them under the clay flower.
4. Let the clay
dry, or you can bake it, too.
5. Fold in half a
card paper. Cut out a big rectangle or square from a different color card
paper. This cutout piece should be smaller than the main body of the card.
6. Help your
kid to stick the cut-out on the front of the main card with glue.
7. Tell your kid
to write a message on the Friendship Day card with the sketch pens.
8. When the clay
flowers become dry, help your kid to stick them on the card with glue.
2. Butterfly Cards
Things You
Need:
· Thick card paper
· Plain chart
papers in many colors
· A tube of glue
· A small pack of
flower seeds or any other gift
· A pair of
scissors
· A pencil
· A pack of sketch
pens
How To Make
Them:
1. Tell your kid
to fold in half the card paper.
2. Help the child
to trace out butterfly shapes on the plain chart paper. The size of the
butterflies should be smaller than the main card. Tell your kid to draw two
butterflies for each card. One should be smaller than the other.
3. Tell your child
to cut out the butterflies with the scissors.
4. Ask the child
to paste the larger butterfly on the front of the card. Then tell your kid to
take the smaller butterfly cut out and fold it in such a way that the
butterfly’s body remains erect. The wings look like they are fluttering. Ask
your child to keep the smaller butterfly on the larger one and glue the body
but not the wings. Now tell the child to open the card and glue the small pack
of flower seeds inside.
5. Ask the child
to write a friendship day message inside the card.
3. Robot
Things You
Need
1.Three empty cold cream containers
2.Four round
bottle caps or lids
3. Two small and
thin plastic bottles
4. Acrylic color
5. Synthetic gum
or glue.
How to
Make It
Step 1
Take the 3 empty
cold cream containers. Keep the first one on the floor, upside down. Keep the
second container over it in such a way that the bases of the containers touch
each other. Then invert the third container and keep it over the 2 containers.
This is the structure for the robot's head and body.
Step 2
Take the 2 round bottle caps or lids. Attach 1 empty plastic bottle
to the center of the lids. This is the robot's hand. The other 2 bottle caps or
lids will be used to make the robot's leg.
Step 3
Attach the robot's hand and legs to the figure crafted in step one
with glue or synthetic gum. You can place tissue papers on the robot's body if
you want. Allow it to dry, and then apply color on it. Your handmade robot is
ready!
4. Cards from
enamel paints
Things You
Need
1. White cartridge
paper
2. Red, yellow,
and black enamel colors
3. One bowl of
clean water
How to
Make Them
Take a bowl of
clean water. Pour 8 to 10 drops of red, yellow, and black colors into the bowl.
Enamel paints are oily, so they won’t mix with the water and will float over
it. Blow out of your mouth so that the paint disperses evenly on the water. You
can see the colors taking different shapes in the water. Put the piece of cartridge
paper on the water for 3-4 seconds. You will find different types of enamel
colors on the paper/card. Once it dries, write a message and send the card to
your friends. They will love it!
