1. Meteor Cut
Designed on 10/10/2010, this unusual diamond cut features a decagonal shape of flawless symmetry. It is constructed of 10 straight walls and 71 facets. Overcoming the technical challenges of such a complex and special diamond cut took 10 months of persistent attempts.
2. Snowflake Cut

Developed by Dr. Ulrich Freiesleben in the early 1980s, the Spirit Sun is an unusual round cut featuring 16 equal upper facets and 16 equal lower facets. Its name comes from the unique way it radiates light – in a sun-ray fashion from the centre of the stone.
The cut is 15% to 17% more reflective than a traditional round brilliant cut. The downside, however, is that it can only be cut from a perfect octahedron rough rough diamond (see rough diamond prices) – and with higher waste.
For a given 2-carat rough octahedron, the yield will be approximately 0.65ct Spirit Sun but with the same diameter as a 0.75ct round.
7. 88-Cut Diamond
Another unusual diamond cut that shares characteristics with the Round Brilliant, the 88 got its name because it features 8 sides and 88 facets (as compared to the round’s 58). This diamond truly shines for its face-up appearance, featuring optimum brilliance and fire – with its octagonal shape setting it apart from the traditional round. This is also the reason why it is marketed as “A Diamond Like No Other.
