How to pick complementary colors for the arrangement?

The main reason you are adding candles and flowers to the dinner table is that they come in vibrant colors. Those who wish to make table centerpieces should select the colors according to the surrounding designs. Choose light and vibrant colored candles, if you want the flower and candles to be at the focal point.

Make sure the color of the vase and candles are similar. You can also pick the colors of the flowers based on the environment. If the table is an open area, choose a darker shade for floral and candle arrangement. Those who are arranging the table in a room or kitchen should check the colors of the walls. Although you can select darker shades, light color flowers will generally work.

1.            Recycled Centerpiece

Do you have any empty jars? Jam jars can be used, if they empty. In hot soapy water, wash the jar and get rid of any labels. You will need at least two jars for this arrangement. Find some seashells, sand, or coffee beans. Fill them inside one of the jars and place a tealight candle inside it.

Take the flowers and cut the stems so that they perfectly fit inside the jar. Place the stems inside the second jar in a way that floral heads hand outside. You can now place both these arrangements as centerpieces on the table.

2.            Pillar Candles

Place a glass plate in the center of the table. Find three pillar candles and put them on the plate. Cut the heads off each floral and cover the plate in a way that the candle remains at the center. Alternatively, you can use floral petals for a more subtle appeal.

3.            Floating Centerpiece

Find a silver or golden tray and place it in the middle of the table. You will need three small red-colored candles for this process. Place each candle on the tray in a way that each one is at an equal distance.

Slowly pour some water on the tray without moving any candle. The quantity of water shouldn’t be more than 1 cup for the bigger tray. If the tray is small in width or height, you only need to add ½ cup of water. Drop red petals of rose on the tray so that they can freely float between the small candles.
