1.      Time Management

The life of a college student can be distracting and hectic. From family and friends, to the newest movies on Netflix, finding a way to manage your time might seem impossible. However that doesn't mean you should give up on finding a good time frame for everything. Start by creating a simple schedule and trying to stick to it. By doing this you will be able to adjust the times as you need to and find something that works for you. Another way to manage your time is to set your phone with simple alarms, in order to make sure you know when you have to finish, or take a break from something. This especially helps while working on homework, due to the fact that it is very easy to become discouraged or bored after working for a long time. Always make sure that your schedule fits your individual needs, and always adjust it if you need to.

2.      Getting and Staying Organized

Organization is useful anywhere, your home, your book bag, your book shelves. Where ever you go organization is there to follow you. But why is it so important? Well I'm sure we have all been through a situation like this: You're in class, and the teacher is collecting the final project worth 1/3 of your final grade. You dig through your bag, knowing for a fact that you put it in, and to your horror you can't find it. As you continue to dig through the mass of crumpled papers the teacher finishes collecting the papers, and you have to take a lower grade.

To keep this from happening there are a few precautions you can take. First off, buy a large binder, and a folder for each class. The binder should be made to hold everything, from your pencil case to all of your notebooks and folders. By having one set item to hold everything your clutter will be cut down significantly. Now for your folders, be sure to label them carefully in order to keep from putting the wrong papers in. Now place it all into the binder and snap it close. Now your job is to make sure you put everything into the correct folder. However for your internet assignments it is best to use an application or create a sub folder specifically for your assignments.

3.      Dealing with Distractions and Temptations
In our modern world it is easy to get distracted by the little things in our daily lives. Our game systems sit on the shelves, tempting us to drop our work and play the games. Facebook and twitter notifications blow up our phones constantly, keeping us in a constant loop. However, as much as we like these things they make doing work quite difficult. There are great ways to deal with these distractions. First off turn off the notifications on your phone, and put it somewhere you won't be distracted by it, like a desk drawer or a shelf. Use computer programs to block websites, and apps on your tablet or phone to keep you locked out for a certain amount of time. This will keep you on task until the job is done.
