In some places, this day is marked by portraying the entire “Ramayana” in the form of a play which is known as “Ramlila.” 

Durga Festival:

This festival is meant for celebrating the power of Goddess Durga. This is a major festival of the Bengalis in India. This colorful festival is marked with much fanfare and celebrated by decorating the huge pandals where in decorated idols of “Goddess Durga along with “Kartikeya”, “Ganesh” and “Saraswati” are decorated and a wholesome enjoyment then take place with dancing, singing and a thorough enjoyment. Ganesh Chaturthi:
