TOP 1 SUPPORTS UGM STUDENTS PERFORM IN WORLD COMPETITION

Starting in November 2010, the Milky Way UGM team finally has reached a stage closer to the competition formula vehicle class students routinely held by the Japan Society of Automotive Engineers (JSAE).

Competition to the 11th annual prestigious event attended by 85 teams from top universities from around the world come from Japan, India, South Korea, People's Republic of China, Pakistan, Australia, Thailand. And for the first time in Indonesia include the best student by the name 'the breakthrough team' of the University of Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta

Tuesday, July 19, 2011, is a historic day for the team Milky Way, the opportunity to launch a vehicle purely the work of student Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, UGM, which consists of 16 core team members, three lecturers, and six additional crew.

Located in Building Purna Budaya, UGM, characterized by the presence of the Milky Way car ribbon cutting by the rector, Prof.. Ir. Sudjarwadi M. Eng Ph.D.

The event was also attended by representatives from the Dean FT UGM, Bambang Hari Wibowo, representatives from the Deputy Governor of DIY namely Drs. Kadarmanto Baskoro Aji, MM, chairman of the IMI (Ikatan Motor Indonesia) DIY area, Nur Satwika, and all the academic community and the public attended the event.

Symbolic inauguration was followed by a test drive vehicles in the Milky Way Boulevard UGM. Milky Way is driven by two drivers, Mohammed Yusuf Audi as a driver.

Until now, the Milky Way team has established cooperation with several national automotive company, one of which is the company's automotive lubricant TOP 1.
