Tips to improve the precision casting mold quality

Precision casting,compared with the traditional casting,can obtain relatively accurate shape and high precision casting.There are two kinds of precision casting technology:the lost wax casting and pressure forming precision casting technology.The so-called precision casting process,simply is to make the fusible material into fusible model,in the refractory coating special several layers of the fireproof coating,after drying and hardening to form a whole body shell,and then steam or hot water from the shell in the melt model,and then the shell into the sand box,filled with dry sand molding around,finally will cast into the furnace after calcination at high temperature, mold or mold shell roasting,in which the pouring of molten metal and casting.

Precision casting mold quality is an improtant aspect for the precision casting technology.There are several methods to improve the quality of mold,then to improve the effect of precision casting.

(1) Design of precision casting mold structure, try to make compact structure,convenient operation, but also to ensure that the mold strength and stiffness.

(2) In the conditions allow,should try to corner the design surface of the mold into a corner, to avoid stress concentration.

(3) To die, in the disposition aspect,should prevent device parts or scrap jam.Also consider how to reduce the sliding piece and frequent impact,in order to reduce the mold damage.

(4) To the proper use of precision casting mold, its installation and debugging methods must be appropriate,cooling water to meet the design requirements,and the parameters in production to reasonable design etc..

(5) To correctly maintain precision casting mold, regular maintenance,guide pin, guide sleeve and other parts are often filling of lubricating oil.

(6) Mold should have maintenance plans,through the maintenance of process data,to prevent mold in the production process problems may occur,which can improve the work efficiency.
