The inability to concentrate and focus on a task is one of the biggest road blocks students face during their studies. A lot of people tell themselves that it's only normal for the brain to be unable to focus on one thing for an extended period of time. But that’s not true.

The best way to improve concentration is by being relaxed. If you're feeling frazzled, stressed or constantly on edge then it's hard to focus on any one thing and remember a lot of things at once. This is one reason why you should relax before studying or work. You can also use breath-work, exercise or meditation to calm your mind so you can focus better. Some of these activities also qualify as good girls’ empowerment group activities.

The inability to concentrate and focus on a task is one of the biggest road blocks students face during their studies. There are several ways to improve concentration for students, but these top 7 will have the most impact and work better than any other tools.

Take a break every 30 minutes

While students are often on a tight schedule, taking breaks every 30 minutes or so can help them stay focused and productive. It’s important to take a break every hour of intense study sessions. This will help your brain adjust and stay fresh. If you’re studying during the day, try taking a walk outside or get some fresh air. Being in the same place all day will make it harder to focus.

Practice deep breathing exercises

Yoga and breathing exercises are immensely beneficial for students. Regular practice helps to calm mind and increase the ability of focus on tasks. It is important to encourage children to take up some form of breathing exercise and make it a part of their daily routine. In fact, due to its many benefits yoga is an integral part of the curriculum at some of the top CBSE board school in Kolkata.

Some of the other ways you can improve concentration include –

·       Eating "brain food" like almonds, green veggies etc.

·       Playing mind-sharpening games and doing puzzles

·       And getting plenty of rest.

Set a place to study that is free of distractions

Last but not the least, choose a place that is free from distractions, has proper lighting for studying.
