A horizontal piano’s range is around 4.5 feet to 9 feet whereas that of a vertical piano height is 40-43 inches and width is 58 inches. So, depending upon the space you have, you can make a decision.
7. Warranty and Repair:  When purchasing a piano, ask about its warranty duration and what else does it cover. Ask about whom to call for the repair and maintenance of the piano.
8. Where to Buy From:  A piano is not like any other musical instrument which can be bought online. You need to look out for musical showrooms, piano dealers for buying an old or new piano.
9. Ask Questions:  When you are investing a great amount in buying a piano, then you must not be afraid of asking question from the dealer. Ask about its performance, durability, functions, if the purchase price includes delivery and bench cost or not. Ask anything that bothers you.
10. Inspection:  Before you make the final call and pay the amount, make sure you inspect the piano carefully. Check the sound board, the back, plate, the bench, keys, pedals and overlook everything once properly.
