Tips on preparing for Boat Tours in Manaus
by Manaus Jungletours Amazon Jungle and River Expeditions with Manaus JuAfter spending more than
three days on the 100-foot Spoilsport with a dozen crew members and 23 other
guests, as you're ready for your first (or next) live-aboard Boat Tours in Manaus, it was simple to
put together a list of what to carry — and what to leave on shore.
1. Keep it easy.
Space in the rooms is also small on famous cruise ships. Don't carry a bag on a tiny wardrobe shelf that won't slip under a bunk or sit on. Pack clothes you don't mind wearing several occasions and avoid ample supplies of makeup, particularly on a dive boat where no one cares if, after a day in the ocean, your hair is blown dry. Think hard about what you would like, and mark everything that is off the plan.
2. Take choices for fashionable clothes.
Lots of super-fast-dry
fabrics are out there. Once you walk into a live-aboard cruise, make sure to
invest in certain main parts. If you're planning to swim, pack one or two
additional bathing suits (trust me, they 're not soaking up quickly in hot
ocean air) to stop the icky sensation of putting on a wet bathing suit.
Should not pack
light-colored clothes. When you try to enjoy a full glass of Australian Shiraz
on a listing deck, the long white skirt which was perfect for the desert
doesn't work so well. Also, light-colored clothing is often seen-through when
wet.
3. Carry attachments that are water- and wind-friendly.
Carry a cap that stays
placed on a windy day to avoid damage to the heat. Throw in good treaded
sandals to prevent embarrassing falls so you can navigate slippery decks and
stairs with ease. Flip flops are fantastic, so once you accidentally enter the
ocean, you should say sayonara to them. The same is valid with sunglasses.
Carry retainers for eyewear, and water shoes or sandals for the ankles. On another
practical note, there is no guarantee that the wind will not pick up as soon as
you pour that hot coffee cup, even when the sea looks as flat as a pancake.
Drop a travel mug into your pocket with a sturdy top; don't be sorry.
4. Keep hydrated and inspired.
It is quick to dehydrate on a cruise with the proximity to the heat and spend time in the saltwater. Rotating a refillable bottle of water for you everywhere you go is an excellent opportunity to drink up.
