Tips for Downloading Applications through Google Play Store for Android

Google has introduced web based Android app market on Google Play Store. It enables you to explore, purchase and download different exciting applications, which then will be available on your smart phones as well as your computers. Browsing through applications on computer is lot easier than going through them on the 4.7 inch screens.

 

Here are few tips for those who will be accessing these apps for the first time. I am skipping the initial start ups keeping in mind that everyone is usually aware of them.

After opening Google site, look for an icon "Play" on the extreme top headings mentioned on Google page. The minute you will click "Play" you will enter the land of Android Apps.

 

A brief overview on Google tabs

The Google has categorized the apps searches in four easily accessible tabs.

• Top charts

• Categories

• Features

• Tablets

 

Top charts shows all the top free and paid applications categorized under the labels of Top Paid, Top Free , Top Grossing, Top new Paid and Top New Free apps. List of apps appear when you click on any of the above mentioned topics.

 

Next tab on Google play page is of categories. It has been further segregated into two sections for user’s convenience; Games and Applications. Users can browse through list of games they want or kind of applications they are looking for without any hurdles or hindrances. Vast varieties of applications are available in this section. If user is looking for nice wallpaper then go in Games section, Click the wallpaper option n here you go, a vast range of top paid or top free wallpapers are a click away.

 

Next tab is of Featured. This tab is there on the front page for you to see. It specifies Staff pick, Trending apps, Best selling games and recommendations for you to browse and if are interested then download too. This page is the easiest and is time saving featured. One can go through it to see the most ongoing apps in the market and save the agony of going through all apps to see which one is a better version of an app.

 

Last tab is for Tablets. It shows all the applications that are recommended for tablets having android .Staff pick, top trending, games.

 

That was the overview of Google play now let’s gets to downloading tips. Let’s say I want to install fingerprint lock screen for my cell phone.

 

• Firstly I will select the category of Top Charts

• Look for a fingerprint lock screen app.

• Click on it. The next page that will appear will provide me with its basic information, user’s views and compatibility details.

• Go through the details as to how much space it will occupy, for which phone it will work best and also the reviews.

• After going through the details and descriptions let’s install it. On the top left side you will see an install button .Press it.

• The app will be downloaded soon.

 

Congratulations you have successfully downloaded an app that can be used on both cell phone and the computer. You can repeat the process if you want to download more apps.
