Tips & Cheats Present in Kid’s online free Games

by Pooja Late so cut

If you live in a cave, or perhaps bury your head in the sand like an ostrich, perhaps you aren’t aware of the concept that is prevalent in the world of online free games for kids. While we, as adults often try to find the shortcut to accomplishment, the concept that any online games designed for kids, even the free ones, actually foments this kind of thing is a serious matter.  I have friends that think that these ‘Player Tips’ or more aptly called “game Cheats” are funny jokes for kids, easy ways to avoid tougher parts of the game mechanics. Here are three keys that can help you as a parent deal with these kinds of blights on a child’s play experience.

 Play through the long way.

When my son was younger, his avarice for completing a video game was so great, he would sit and play, with tears of frustration running down his cheeks. When I asked why he was so determined, he said something amazing.

“My pals had cheat codes for this part, but I want to go the long way”.

This revelation demonstrates my first point. A shortcut code actually reduces the amount of accomplishment the player can achieve. A player who does not overcome the actual challenges in the game misses out on the whole game experience, which includes learning the skills to overcome. Conversely, a child that perseveres, and finishes the game feels triumphant and whole. The play experience is complete, even if it takes a little longer.

Play for the fun of it.

Many of the players that are friends with my children are high achievers, bent on winning at anything, no matter the cost. While this may result in a higher income bracket overall, it is my opinion that this deprives those kids the opportunity to face the potential flaws in their character. While playing any game is decidedly not a measure of a man, the ability to work through challenges and accept the ramifications of unpreparedness can be readily measured by how long the person can work to prevail in unseemly circumstance.

Play for keeps.

If there is one aspect of the realm of free online games for kids that I like, is that these provide the very young with keyboard and touchscreen functionality.  When the game has a story behind it, an objective to achieve, it helps kids undertand linearity, and doing x to accomplish y, and that makes the effort worth it. It may sound funny to our adult minds, but  the jokes kids tell about the cheats and tricks they use for getting through the games are really calls for help, in keeping their moral compass aligned. SO do what you can to guide your children to do what is best, and do what is right.
