Tips and exam pattern for SBI PO 2015 Exam Preparation

SBI has announced 2000 vacancies for SBI Probationary Officers in 2015 and has changed the pattern of the SBI PO Exam from 2015. After the new   notification, the PO exam will now be conducted in two parts – Prelim exams and Main exams.

Around 2 million students are expected to sit for SBI PO Prelim 2015 Exam and among them the shortlisted student will then sit for SBI PO Main 2015 Exam.

Here we have the examination pattern and syllabus for SBI PO 2015 Exam Preparation, in accordance with the new pattern–

Now the examination will have in all three phases:

Phase I – SBI PO 2015 Prelim Examination

The Prelim exam will be an objective type test of 100 marks, with time duration of 1 hour. The marks secured in the Prelim exams will not be   considered when making the final result list.

Phase II – SBI PO 2015 Main Examination

The Main exam will consist of an objective test and a descriptive test. The   objective test will carry a total of 200 marks, and the time given will be 2   hours. This will consist of 4 sections and 50 marks for every such section.   The descriptive test will carry 50 marks, and the time given will be 1 hour.   This part will be on English language and will cover Essay and Letter writing. 

It should be noted that the descriptive test is an online mode test, and the candidates will have to type on the computer to attempt this test.  The descriptive test begins as soon as the objective test is completed.

SBI PO Prelim Examination

The SBI will conduct SBI PO 2015 Prelim exam through online mode which will be of 100 marks and the time allocated will be 1 hour. Appended below are section-wise details:

1) Reasoning: 35 Questions

2) English: 30 Questions

3) Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Questions

 

SBI PO 2015 Main Exam:

This part of the examination is a crucial and a more difficult exam to clear the recruitment process. The total numbers of question in this section are 200 and time allocated will be 2 hours.

Descriptive Test


This part of the exam is in online mode, which means the students will be required to answer the exam by typing on a computer. We recommend taking the online typing tests which are available on the internet free of charge. This will help improve the speed and accuracy of your typing. This section will cover Essay, Precise Writing and Letter Writing (Informal & Formal). The total time allocated for this section is 1 hour.
