Timeless Fashion Tips for Men

by Vikram Sharma Textile designer
Do you consider yourself fashionable? Or are you one of those people who don’t care what you wear as long as you're comfortable? Are you among the people who wear premium cotton lungies in Indian hot weather at home and feel aptly comfortable? Even if you don't consider yourself fashionable, you must look presentable when going to work, attending a special occasion (or going on a date) or when you are arranging a party at your home.

Whether we like it or not, some, if not the majority, of people will judge us based on how we look. This is why we strive to look presentable every time we leave the house.

To ensure that we look good when we leave the house, we must keep a well-stocked wardrobe. And this does not have to be an expensive venture. Are you unsure how to proceed? Continue reading for some helpful tips for all ages.

Go for Good Quality

The principle is as follows: invest in something of excellent quality even if the price is quite high. If the item you purchase is of high quality, it is more likely to last longer. This is unquestionably preferable to purchasing something inexpensive that does not last long and necessitates the purchase of another to replace it. And so the vicious cycle goes on.

If you invest in high-quality items upfront, you can be confident that they will last for a long time, even if they are more expensive.

Load Up with Neutral Colors

When purchasing clothing like shirts or pure cotton lungi, invest more in neutral or universal colors that can be easily mixed and matched with other garments. You can shop in neutral colors such as black, brown, grey, khaki, and white.
Of course, you don't have to stick to just one neutral color. For example, you can go from desert sand to chocolate brown for brown. You can have fifty shades of grey...never mind.

Invest Time as Well

Busy people usually don't have enough time to go shopping for clothes. Shopping is a more cursory activity for them, with them typically purchasing the first good item that catches their eye. Due to other commitments, even fitting a shirt takes them only a few seconds.

If you want to get the best products, you should avoid doing this. Schedule a time during the week when you won't be rushed to do anything else. Before you part with your money, make sure you thoroughly examine every item in your shopping cart. Examine the fit, style, color, and even minor flaws such as runs or snags. A small, undetected run can cause fabric damage.

Give Your Clothes Some TLC

If you're wondering what that acronym stands for, it stands for tender loving care. The key to making any piece of property last longer —- whether it's a device, your car, your home, or your clothes —is to take good care of it.

If you don't have a closet, make sure you keep your clothes in a cool, clean, and dry place. Mothballs are a bad idea because they stink and can be dangerous to children and pets. Use natural wooden cedar balls instead. They are safer and have a better odor.

Check your clothes on a regular basis to see if they're starting to collect dust or if creepy crawlies are starting to cause damage to your clothing items.

You don't have to keep buying new clothes to keep up with your busy lifestyle. Keeping these suggestions in mind will help to ensure that your wardrobe runs like a well-oiled machine, ready to produce whatever the occasion requires.
