The term dissertation is often used for the final project assignment that PhD candidates are required to present, in order to get their doctoral degree. The project is typically an independent work and research which is similar to thesis.

A technical research is often bent towards engineering disciplines, aiming at the development of test tools and equipment to deliver a solution to a certain technical problem. To write a dissertation on technical research is a massive undertaking that cannot be taken lightly.

Once you have pointed out your dissertation topic for your technical research and you have a pile of research notes, scribbles and ideas together, it’s time to organize, summarize and start writing them.

Keep going with the easy bits, then put them together in the right order, using an outline. You’ll notice certain areas needing further research, so stay prepared to reopen the books, revisit the library and websites, and reread articles and magazines as you’re going along.

The work of others can be used as evidence to support your argument. Your content should critically evaluate those ideas and determine what problems in your research area remained unexplored.

Give a sufficient number of references to the articles, books, and different sources, you have utilized, as a bibliography. And then check it with your instructor what is expected.
