·         Reason behind selection of grips:

No matter whatever game or sport you play, every game has different equipment that is best suited for the player. You need to optimize your equipment to give their best in their sport. And by ignoring proper gear you may miss an easy opportunity to improve your game or sport. Selecting a proper golf grip is a combination of creative mind and science. There are many varieties of golf grips readily available in the market but not all are suitable for you. Before going into depth one thing you should keep in mind if the golf grips get old it isn’t easy to hold the club without throttling it and you are unable to swing the club accurately. You must ensure that even if you grip the club casually there’s no chance of losing the club. It’s a matter of concern that most golfers know very little about golf grips. They just go to a store pick up a pack of grips according to price and looks.

·         Selecting on basis of material:

Depending upon the material, the golf grips can be categorized into three types – rubber, synthetic and cord. Most widely used grips are of rubber and synthetic because they are improved to be smoother on the hands of the golfer which offers friction and extremely durable too. Winn grips are widely used due to its light weight & extra smooth grips which absorbs 65 percent of the impact. Winn golf grips offers the extra benefits of high reduced vibration and lasting adhesiveness. Ideally, golfers should select a cord grip which are much harder and rougher than other types. These cord grips are a priority for golfers with sweaty hands and for those who play in wet-weather conditions. These grips are widely accepted as they provide extra traction to prevent hands from slipping. These types of grips can be cleaned with a moist towel.

·         Selecting on basis of size:

Size of the grip is equally important as the material. It not only depends upon the size of your hands but also on how you hold and swing your clubs. Larger grips reduce hand actions and helps you to slicing while smaller grips promote hand action which encourages hooking. The quality and varieties available in the market today are incredible. The surface design pattern on the grip gives you either an even feel or an abrasive feel. A golfer must choose the one in which he feels absolutely comfortable. Its neither right nor wrong, it’s just a substance of feel. New grips necessarily aren’t the right grips for many. And speaking about the looks the customization, design and texture says a lot about a golfer’s game and personality.
