Things to Consider When Accessorizing Your Wedding Gown

A bride looks beautiful on her wedding day when she wears the wedding gown that has shopped for with a lot of time. The accessories she wears with the dress accentuates her look. However, there are many brides who fail to realise how to accessorize their wedding gowns. If you are one of them, this write-up is for them: 

If you have noticed it, you may know that there are some metals, which look better with certain colours of dress. For instance, ivory goes best with gold because it highlights the fabric's creamy tint. White dress looks awesome with accents in platinum or silver of pearl detailing. But gold doesn't look good with pure white. It clashes with brighter white hues. Also, remember one more thing - if the dress you have chosen is already embellished with beadwork, allow the dress to dictate the colours of your accessories then. For instance, if the gown you have chosen comes with silver beading, go for a necklace, earrings or bracelet that has a silver base. 

In order to look unique, don't wear all the accessories of wedding along with the gown. If the gown is already embellished, don't put too much of accessories on your body. But if the gown is simple, wear a bold necklace and earring. Also make sure not to wear anything which matches the design of your gown. 

Veil is an important bridal accessory and is available in different kinds of styles and sizes. When choosing the veil for your gown, you need to be very particular. If your gown is gorgeous, stick with a  veil that's simple. If you want to show the back portion of your wedding dress, then a sheer veil would be fine. Size also matters a lot. For instance, floor-length or longer waltz veils elongate petite frames whereas mid-length styles are great options for taller brides. 

A sash or belt can change the look of your wedding dress. So, don't think that since your wedding dress doesn't come with one you won't look good by adding it to your gown. Go for the one that works with your body type. If you have an apple shaped body, think about a heavily embellished or beaded belt for flattering your midsection  but if you are a petite woman, a belt that comes with V-shape applique can elongate your body. 

Shoes are the most essential accessory and most of you would be looking for something gorgeous matching your dress. But while looking for the right style, don't compromise on comfort. You will have to stand for hours on your wedding day and if the pair is not comfortable, you will hurt your toes.
