The part of the house that gives aesthetic pleasure to the inmates of it is the tiling part; as once in the house this has the highest touch. The part of tiling should be addressed rightly to save manpower and money. While renovating the house or building it from scratch, you always wish everything should go as per the plan. This is not the scene every time . Some mistakes in tiling are quite infamous and keep getting repeated no matter how experienced workers you hire. The only way to get away with this is keen on monitoring the tiling job and a checklist of common mistakes. Read on to know what are some common practices that make the tiling job dirty. This will help you with your tiling job because now you will know that something is wrong.

  1. Tile Cutting

The most common incident with tiles is the cracking of them. You might overlook this since you cannot argue with the installation work for a single tile, but it is important to see if too many tiles are wasted. You can tell them to use diamond wet saw which has not too sharp teeth, you can ask them to mark the cutting area of the tile for better and precise cutting, and you can overlook their measuring techniques to get the tiling job done right. Also, you should check if the waste tile pieces can be useful in a smaller section so that you can save an entire box.

  1. Underlayment

The underlayment is where the tile is supposed to be placed. The first thing about underlayment is that it should be flat and even before the Tiling in Auckland begins. Moreover, you have to make sure that enough cement is smeared on the underlayment to assure that the tile will fit properly. Failing this, the tiles will sag and break with the slightest of foot pressure. To avoid this, ask your workers to make the surface even with cement solution and then affix the tiles. It is to be well understood that if one is getting a tiling job on vinyl flooring, it must be concrete enough to support the weight of cement and the tiles.

  1. Grouting

The last phase of the tiling job is grouting. The process of applying filler material in the blank spaces between two tiles is called grouting. The grouting material should be selected as per the tiles and area where the tiles are to be installed. There are two types of grouting solutions available in the market namely cement and epoxy grouts. If you have indoor applications and your tiles are ceramic-based, then epoxy is the ideal grouting material. Otherwise, cement grouts can be used everywhere else.

It is very important to supervise the tiling job since this is a one-time construction job. Enuse to research well before tiling
