Things Doing Which in Maldives Can Put You into Trouble

by Jim Lee I am a professinal writer

Maldives is a dreamland for any couple and even for bachelors. It attracts tourists from all over the world to enjoy their vacation in the palm fringed islands. Whether you have a good budget to enjoy luxury holidays or you are looking for a budget trip, Maldives welcome you warmly. Yes, there are literally wide range of hotel and resort varieties that make it pocket friendly destination for people of every economy.

However, if you are about to visit Maldives for the first time or suggesting any friend or colleague don’t forget to read this blog. There are some rules that you need to abide by while enjoying Maldives holidays to make it a perfect vacation. Otherwise, you can end up with some bad memories. Take it seriously and share the blog to your friend as well.

Be Careful About Your Dress

Maldives is an Islamic country and they are quite serious about dress. Showing off your body in public is not taken in good sense by the local people and thus you can enjoy in bikini or put off your tees while in a public place. Well, don’t worry! If you are in the beach, you can satisfy your craze of swimming with your bikini. Again, don’t misunderstand it. Nude bath is strictly NO in Maldives – even in the sea beaches. If you want to get some tan, you can ask your resort manager if it’s allowed in the resort area.

Carrying Alcohol Is Big No

Don’t panic! I never said that you can’t drink alcohol in Maldives. Yes, the resorts and hotel serve cocktail and other alcoholic beverages to their tourists on holidays in Maldives. But, you never can carry alcohol with you in public areas. If you keep them in your bag and any security personnel find it, you can be in trouble. Well, if you are in flight to Maldives and you have some in your luggage, don’t worry. You can keep it deposited at the customs counter. You’ll get them back while returning to your own country.

Shoes? Tale Flip-Flops Instead

Yes, shoes will be a pain for you in this sandy island. If you want to enjoy the island to its fullest, it’s better you walk barefoot on the clean sand beaches or take a pair of flip-flop. If you wear shoes, sand will get into them and it can cause cuts on your foot making you unable to walk.

No Public Intimacy

So, you want to go to Maldives to enjoy luxury holidays with your newly married spouse, right? So, you are dreaming about being intimate with your partner in the sea beaches and other public places and make it memorable. But, as we said earlier, it’s an Islamic country and you have to respect their conservative culture. Any kind of intimacy is treated badly by local residents and it can lead to a bad incident for you. So, be on your limit and keep those intimate parts inside the resort area.
