We have seen the Samsung Galaxy S4 and now we are waiting for the arrival of three other handsets. These are the Moto X, Google Nexus 5 and the Apple iPhone 6. Many people have been waiting to hear about when the handsets might be launched.

Two of these handsets are Android and the other is iOS. Some people will choose the handset based on whether they want iOS or Android. Others will choose based on which of these handsets will come into stores first. You do have to take into account that none of the handsets have come out yet, even though there has been a great deal of talk and speculation about them.

The Google Nexus 5 should be popular with those who like Android and some people have said that it may arrive with Key Lime Pie. Google may reveal it in the fall. Nexus devices are popular as they do have pure Android. There have been rumours going around saying that LG will make the handset again and that Nikon could be behind the camera.

It has been said that the device may have 3GB or 3GB of RAM and it could come with a camera of 16MP. The processor may be a 2.3GHz quad core or it could have the 1.5GHz quad core. When considering the release date bear in mind that the LG Nexus 4 did not come out until October of last year.

The Moto X is said to be arriving with a quad core Snapdragon processor and the handset could have a display that is full HD and which could be 4.8 inches. The battery of the handset may be 4000mAh. Some people have said that the handset could be called the Google X, but it will be the Moto X and it will be out in the summer.

Some people wondered if Apple would launch the new iPhone in the summer, but the Apple iPhone 5 wasn’t launched until the fall so this is unlikely. Analysts have said that Apple might launch an iPhone in the summer, but bear in mind that iOS 7 is not coming out until the fall for the public. It has been said that the new iPhone could come with the A7 processor, a 12MP camera, display that has an even higher resolution, large storage choices and support for NFC.

At the moment there is no confirmation of the devices, however it is thought that we could see the Android handsets first. This means that it will be the Moto X and Google Nexus 5 that could be the first out, then the Apple iPhone 5S or 6.

Dev teams could break iOS 6, but they’re keeping their exploits under wraps! An Evasi0n guy said that they wouldn’t reveal an iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak because it’s such a minor update, as well as because the iPhone 5 has been so hard to crack. Evasi0n reckons iOS 7 will be out soon anyway, so iPhone 5 owners will just have to hang on.

It’s hoped that iOS 7 will be revealed at WWDC next month, so we may well have seen the last iOS 6 update. Of course this depends on whether or not Apple is about to reveal new hardware, or whether there are some security issues that’ll need another wee update.

Because Apple has revealed its iOS 6.1.4 update, it’s a good job the dev teams didn’t reveal their hands during 6.1.3, or else Apple would have fixed the exploits in 6.1.4.

If you’ve got an iPhone 5, then update to iOS 6.1.4. There’s no real benefit to this update, but the revisions won’t hurt. If you want to jailbreak your phone, wait until iOS 7, as it seems Evasi0n is waiting for it too!
