The Voice Realm Study: The Use of a Professional Male or Female Voice Talent Enhances Retention

by Jeasson Lens Publisher of Press Release , SEO

New York, USA. The Voice Realm, a voice recording site, conducted this study for one week in order to get the difference in the time that callers would stay on hold, that is, between when using an amateur voice as opposed to when using a professional voice talent in phone greetings.

In the study, they used their own voice talent, who was later replaced by their accountant representing an untrained voice.

“When the phone greeting message was changed to a professional voice actor, and then another 150 calls were tallied, that number dropped to just 4, where the caller did not wait for human assistance,” the study indicated.

For the sake of the study, The Voice Realm changed its 1800 toll free number for a period of one week. They did this until they recorded 150 calls, all answered by an amateur’s voice recorded phone greeting. Out of the 150 calls, 18 of them couldn’t wait to be connected to a live human assistance.

However, the number of callers who couldn’t hold on for live human assistance dropped to 4 only, when a professional voicemail voice talent was used instead. That is, after another 150 calls were tallied.

The study indicates the high possibilities that the missed calls could have made the company a good amount of revenue running into thousands of dollars.

This point to only solution, companies should employ or hire the services of a skilled voice actor. This can be a very powerful tool in their marketing campaigns and one which is cheapest yet effective of all.

According to Robert James, a seasoned casting agent, callers can be best described as ‘a captive audience’ and therefore, no opportunity should be missed or wasted. “The voice is an extension of the company’s brand; it adds a personal connection between the caller and the business. Having a sophisticated sounding human voice has been proven to decrease the chances of a caller hanging up. Plus, using a voice over that has been recorded in a studio also gives a better sound quality, which enables the message to get through,” he observes.

Mr. James also quickly points out that The Voice Realm provides solutions to both small as well as big businesses which are not yet familiar or have never engaged hiring voice talents online before.

“Clients have the benefit when using an online voice recording service to select their phone greeting voiceover talent because they get to listen to many different voices all in one go. The process is so simple. Write up a simple and straightforward script, and get a pro to record it,” says Mr. James.

The website’s automated phone service takes a client through a step by step instructions, starting from free voice auditions for actors, how to make payments, how to upload the script and finally receiving the audio file. Clients can get the audio file, a quality one for that matter, in a span of 24 hours.

The Voice Realm boosts of more than 700 selected professional male and female voice talents drawn from all corners of the world speaking in various world leading languages and accents.

Customers are given the liberty to find their preferred voice actor for professional on-hold messages, phone greetings, TV or radio commercials, interactive voice prompts commonly referred to as IVRs, internet videos, PowerPoint narrations, in-store announcers, web explanations, training videos and voice-over services and many more.

Normally, the voice talent rates are buyout. That means that when a client pays, he can use the recording as many times as he wants to.
