by Deepak Kumar Internet Marketing

While designing a website, a lot of technical matters need to be considered including wireframes, content management, mockups, code, design layout, web structure, etc. There’s a complete overarching strategy involved in making a great-looking website. That is why we say it is easier said than done while building a custom web design.

A well-structured and well-built website is far beyond than mere aesthetics, it is about its user interface, user experience, and much more. Each and every element or aspect of the website is focused towards a specified goal. In this article, we shall discuss about the different stages of web design development to give you a clearer picture.

There are 6 stages in a Web Design Development Process. These are:

Identification: Goal and Scope

What is the purpose of the website? What products or services should be offered on the website? What are the preferences and needs of the target audience? Is my design serving the needs of my potential clients? What is the scope of the website in the years to come? When will I reach my breakeven point? What will be the scope of earning through my website? These are some questions which needs to be answered for identifying the real purpose of building a website. The stronger the reason, the more efforts will the user put in and ultimately, the better scope of achievements will be!

 Creation: Sitemap and Wireframe

Once the goal and scope of the website is identified, creating the sitemap becomes easier. Define the structure of the website, design, features, content, etc. This is the pre-development stage. Ideally, the user defines or lays out a skeleton of the website for its custom web design.

Content: Creation & Curation

The third stage is about curating and writing content for the website. While writing content for any website, lot of attention is paid to search engine optimization. Choose the Meta description and Meta tags wisely. Every single page should be written from SEO point of view after a lot of study and market research. Competitors’ websites can be taken into consideration to craft better and more engaging content for inviting maximum visitors to the website.

Design: Visual Elements

While the architecture and content aspect of the website might be complete, but without good visual elements, the custom web design of any website is actually incomplete. The design is a crucial part of the web design development process. It is that part of the website which decides the rate of bounce or conversion rates. The better the visual aspect of your website, more will be the client engagement and vice versa.

Testing

When the website is done and ready, a final testing is performed to check for any bugs and errors. Any errors, if found, are corrected at this stage before the final launch of the website is made. Testing can be performed by a number of tools.

Launching

The last stage of the Web design development process is site launch. Communication planning is also considered part of this stage. This is important because without letting the public aware of your website, launching the site is a complete waste. Therefore, the user must know when to launch and how to let the world know about the website.
