The Transition Of HR Leaders From “Chief Talent Executive” To “Chief Employee Experience Officer”

The corporate world is facing the changing trends of organizational structure. While the traditional structure falls short in many cases to meet the ever changing demands of the corporate environment due to modernization, digitization and evolving market and industry trends, the HR segment is also up for a radical evolution. Earlier the HR was all about talent acquisition, new employee on boarding processes, promotions and transition management. But now this framework is no more covering up for the businesses. A lot more needs to be involved under the HR segment which includes simplification of the processes, aiding the employees for information management, empowerment and building up of shared culture environment. There are a few areas wherein the HR recruiters are working for the better management of work force.

  • Employee behavior assessment is currently one of key focus areas for HR. It specifically refers to the observation, description, explanation and prediction of an individual’s behavioral pattern in relation to the work format, opinions and approach. Today’s corporate world survival depends on staying ahead in competition. For that the workforce development and management plays a major role. While there is already a lot of importance given to middle management hiring for identifying leaderships, behavioral assessment can contribute significantly towards this cause. Going though an employee’s feedback pattern, opinions and ideas, it can be determined whether an individual is capable of taking up decision making responsibilities in future. This is also helpful in understanding the capabilities of an individual to a certain extent for a specific job role and brand loyalty as well.
  • Skill recognition is another important area of focus for the HR recruiter. It is essentially helpful in keeping track of an employee’s abilities or skill set gained from previous professional or voluntary experience. It helps in scrutinizing the capability check list according to the job profile and arrange for the training of the remaining required skills. The employee with a particular skill can also be advantageous in organizing training sessions for a team for knowledge development. Hence skill recognition acts as a database accounting for the skill sets of the employees.
  •  Personality enhancement is another factor which is increasingly popular in HR. A positive workforce forms the backbone of any organization and contributes towards the growth and development in the longer run. Simply getting the work done from employees no longer helps in a steady productivity now days. They have to be engaged in new and creative ways in order to stay motivated. Personality enhancement programs work wonders in this regard. This can be undertaken to develop the leadership skills, encouraging for creative idea and suggestions or understanding a new technological innovation. This helps in promoting employees to speak their minds regarding the processes and ideas.    This in turn benefits the organization as a whole.

Hence these are key focus areas of the HR segment. It is evident that the HR segment is moving away from traditional responsibilities and broadening the horizon through training programs in order to focus in these pointers.
