Rajasthan is a dry state of India that comprises the Thar Dessert from the western region and the influence of arid surrounding and war like lifestyle can be noticed in the spicy and dairy product based cuisine of Rajasthan. The most flavorful food dishes of Rajasthan are prepared with milk products and pearl millet that is a staple grain mostly used in rural areas of Rajasthan.   1. Dal Bati Churma

Dal Bati Churma is one of the most delicious blend of ingredients that has power to satisfy all the food lust of every food traveler. It is a proper Marwari dish that is really easy to prepare and leave a party in mouth. Bati is prepared with whole wheat flour in the shape of dumpling, roasted over fired wood and served with lots of Ghee which is Indian style home made butter. Dal is a curry prepared with boiled lentils and spices and Churma is prepared with crush bati and doused in ghee mixed with Sugar.


  1. Gatte ki Sabzi

This scrumptious traditional delicacy dish of Rajasthan is prepared with boiled gram flour dough balls. After boiling, these balls are fried and cooked in buttermilk gravy with Indian spices. This delicious dish is normally consumed with Indian flat bread.

Ghewar is a disc shaped sweet delicacy of Rajasthan that is prepared with a blend of flour, milk and ghee. It is dipped in sugar syrup and then decorated with dry fruits and Mawa(condensed milk). It is specially made during the time of August for Teej festival.

Kachori is basically a fried puff pastry which is consumed as a snack in all over India. It is stuffed with different fillings such as Onion Kachori(filled with onion and spices), Mawa Kachori which is a sweet snack filled with sweet condensed milk, Aloo kachori (filled with potato and spices) and Daal kachori (filled with Lentils and spcies).


  1. Kadhi

Kadhi is a tangy, spicey gram flour and yogurt based sauce that is prepared in almost every house of Rajasthan. This blend of spcies, gram flour and yogurt is boiled until it’s thickened and Pakoras (fried gram flour balls) are added for more flavors. It is often served with boiled rice and flat bread.
