The Supercar Honda NSX

The Honda NSX is a two-seat sports car most known and marketed in Asia and other international markets which was produced in 1990. It is also referred to as the Acura NSX in North America. It aims to exceed the other sports car in regards to performance, drivability, engine, and luxury at a budget-friendly price.


The First Generation Honda NSX


The Honda NSX is a mid-engine coupe that was first introduced in 1990 until 2005. It was also the first mass-produced car with all-aluminum features, designed by a team which was led by Chief Designer Masahito Nakano and Executive Chief Engineer Shigeru Uehara. The exterior is much more appealing to the eye and the interior offers some features for the comfort and convenience of the rider. 

The Honda NSX was first fitted with an engine of 3.0L V6 with Honda’s VTEC generating power and torque of 270 hp (201 kW; 274 PS), 210 lb-ft (285 Nm). It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a top speed of 163 mph. The 3.2L was available in 1997 producing power and torque of 290 hp (216 kW; 294 PS), 305 Nm (225 lb-ft) paired to a six-speed manual transmission. 

The Second Generation Honda NSX

In 2016, the second-generation Honda NSX has released as a mid-engine hybrid-electric sports car. It offers more superior and powerful performance than the previous model. It is faster, reliable, and offers more features for the comfortability and safety of the driver and passenger. 

The second-generation Honda NSX offers a hybrid-electric engine with a 3.5L V6 twin-turbocharged delivering power and torque of 500 hp (507 PS; 373 kW) at 6,500–7,500 rpm, 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) at 2,000–6,000 rpm. It is mated to a three-electric motor including a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission, a 1.3 kWh lithium-ion battery, and a Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system, producing a combined maximum power and torque of 573 hp (581 PS; 427 kW), 476 lb-ft (645 Nm) with a top speed of over 307 km/h (191 mph).

The Japanese automaker Honda achieves a goal that can be known as of today: the Honda NSX.
