ITI On-Site Curriculum
Whether you are

you with the comprehensive, hands-on training you need to help patients achieve
their dental implants. This three-day course includes lectures and hands-on

ITI's On-Site

partner institutions. This format allows for collaborative learning exercises
and provides the opportunity to experience a true-to-life simulation of an
edentulous jaw. The course also provides hands-on exercises, a review of
literature, and group discussion.
The ITI On-Site
Curriculum includes both online and face-to-face training. The Online
Foundation level is designed for general practitioners and hygienists to
acquire a practical, hands-on introduction to essential clinical information.
This level is supported by peer-reviewed guidelines and is available in
different locations. The price for the Online Foundation level is CHF 2,500 for
non-ITI members and CHF 2,000 for current ITI members.

Socket grafting workshop
During the ADA
2014, dentists interested in socket grafting can take part in an implant hands on course.
This course will cover the basics of socket grafting and bone grafts.
The workshop
will include membranes and membrane grafting, suturing, implant placement and
bone grafting. It will also cover the latest materials and techniques. The
workshop will be hands-on, including exercises on fresh pig jaw models and
dermal allograft.
The course will
be conducted by a board-certified oral implantologist. The didactic and
hands-on component will be broadcast from a surgical room. Each participant
will perform a step-by-step surgical procedure on a model, learning surgical
techniques and advancing their knowledge.
The workshop
will review and demonstrate step-by-step procedures for predictable extraction
socket grafting. This includes preparation of the site, closed tray, prep
abutment and open tray. Using readily available blood derivatives, socket
grafting can be performed by a dentist.
The workshop
will also cover ridge preservation, a technique which can increase the
predictability of bone grafts and increase the long-term stability of implants.
This is a surgical technique that capitalizes on the natural wound healing
physiology of the extraction socket. This method can minimize adverse outcomes
and maximize bone growth.
