The New Evolving Trend Of Custom Sublimated T-Shirts

by Aria Akachi Writer & Web marketing consultant

When using true dye sublimation printing on fabric to use polyester fabrics, there has been a lot of experimentation with various natural fibers and mixed natural fibers.

In order to meet the exact requirements of the buyers, the sublimation printing machines manufacturers are offering their products in a comprehensive range when you choose from custom sublimated t-shirts

On simple principle, these machines work. On the transferable paper, the computer-aided designs get directly imprinted on. In order to print these designs on the fabric, these printers involve the pressure and heat applications.

As it offers long-lasting designs, this is the main advantage which is associated with the prints of the sublimation printer. These machines offer high-definition designs apart from this for sublimation shirt printing mechanism.

They can easily offer customization in the designs as the main flexibility associated with these machines. The sublimation printing process involves dye ink which is commonly known as a CMYO ink (cyan-magenta-yellow-overprint) opposing the standard inkjet printing ink which involves CMYK which is cyan-magenta-yellow-black.

Commonly known as sublimation transfer paper or dye sublimation transfer paper, the dye is printed to a paper and then it is transferred through heat and pressure to the t-shirts for custom sublimated t-shirts.

This process not only goes with fabrics but it can be used for printing on the mugs, coasters, mouse pads, polyester fabrics and also in the advertising displays and banner and many other items.

It actually becomes a part of the substrate which it is fused to as chemistry is involved with these dyes and including heat and pressure and transforming the dye into a gas.

This is what custom all over print shirts are following these days. Allowing the gas to be drawn into the pores, the heat not only transforms the dye to a gas but it also expands the pores of the polyester or polymers.

The pores close and allow the dye to become solid, permanently embedded in the fabric or polymeric material once the substrate cools again. Likely to last many years, this dye also is fade resistant.

To see dye-sub printers being sold alongside photo inkjet printers is now very common to see for all over prints shirt.  For custom apparel, custom upholstery, banner pole pockets and silicone edge sewing for SEG graphic application, apparel, and soft signage products require some manner of sewing and hemming.

For apparel and small signage solutions and computerized automatic sewing machine, this requires a manual sewing machine with auto-command and auto-feed features for large format joint and hemming.

Heat presses are readily available but largely varies in size and applications. At 400 degree Fahrenheit, they simultaneously heat the ink on the transfer paper and the polymer fibers within the substrate, enabling the transfer of ink-to-media as despite the variations, they all function in the same way.

The heat is then removed and the transfer paper is peeled off leaving behind a permanent, full-color graphic on the substrate, after about a minute. Then the other garment printing methods, there is no doubt that digital printing creates a superior product. It also does not change the texture or the feel of the garment as not only is the picture clearer and more colorful.

Few small businesses can afford the initial investment in digital printers or the costs of replacement parts and repairs. Unfortunately, this is the reason why sublimation printing is the best.
