Folklore and ghost
stories are mostly existent in and around rural villages and small
towns. These are mainly shared by people based on their genuine
experience of seeing a ghost. Whether or not he had seen an actual
ghost is a matter of argument but he tells the story of what he knows
he saw. Some misinterpret the actual happenings to arouse more
interest, all in good faith, these were just innocent storytelling.
But what if this happened in a metropolitan city in a area where
thousands of people commute day in and day out? read on to find out.
If you have ever
been a bangalorean, a proper one who had spent a good number of years
there, then you must have had equal shares of ghost stories. You
could not just have missed those. Especially if you are friends with
someone who was born and raised in Bangalore itself. If your
experience with ghosts only stretches till ‘stories’ then
consider yourself lucky. Within the city lies ruins, with spooky
stories even in the most bustling heart of the city. One would
imagine that that such sightings and experiences might take place
only in the outskirts or remote areas where there are less
inhabitants but they are wrong.
Bangalore in all its
glory is a magnificent city. High tech life and extraordinary
nightlife with finest food and lifestyle. A small city by area but it
is built in such a way that every square foot of the land has been
utilized like a work of art. And amongst all these glitz and the glam
and the fashion we have a city which pretty much have stories and
insights of paranormal activities in and around the society.
Bangalore also has huge cemeteries and burial grounds right in the
heart of the city, the most busiest area which surely spooks out even
the most macho man at times. There are apparently some distinct
haunted
places in Bangalore that you should, or not, visit. If you
get the thrill out of it and want to give it go then that is your
call but here are the lists of some spookiest places around
Bangalore.
The screams at M.
G. Road - If I had not emphasized on the fact enough that even
the the busiest area of Bangalore has a story to tell then here is
one such example. Legend says that a young lady working with a
call-centre company at M G Road Bangalore, was unfortunately involved
with a drunk driving case which led to her death. The driver
supposedly left her there and rumours surround that people still hear
her screams and cries every year on that night. Spooky!
The lone ranger
of the Kalpalli Cemetery - This cemetery located in Sarvagna
Nagar, Bangalore is a topic in the conversation of many which has
always raised a few hairs now and then. There has been experiences of
passersby and visitors of a sighting of a man walking around
nervously around the graves while some have heard strange noises and
felt the presence of something supernatural in that area which they
of course responded in the bravest they could - Running!
The mystery at
the airport - Bangalore has one of the most stunning airports in
India. Shifted not long ago at 2008 to its current location, it is
definitely one of the biggest airports with state of the art
infrastructure. However, there was always a tale surrounding of
staffs reportedly witnessing some paranormal activities within the
confines of the airport building. Reports suggests that a white ghost
would terrorize pilots on the runway and when security arrives to
pick her up, she vanishes. Later the ghosts was seen at the cargo bay
too. What gives this stories of the staff more ground is the image
captured on an infrared camera clearly shows of the figure the staffs
describe. But this has been a long time ago and there are no reports
as such anymore.
Although there are
various other places in Bangalore which seem creepy and give out the
spooky vibe, not all stories have proper back stories to be worth a
mention. Although this can be said with full conviction that there
are few places other than the ones mentioned here that is guaranteed
to make you lose a bet if you take up the challenge to go there
alone.
Bangalore is a
complete holiday experience. Plan a trip here not only for the
adrenaline rush of the haunted places here but also for the whole
experience the city has to offer. Flights are connected to any
metropolitan cities and Bangalore also has a rail line with multiples
stations. You could get a direct train if you are lucky and your
starting station is listed directly to Bangalore however you might
need to change trains if there is no direct trains available and if
taken the right routes and the schedule matches you can easily get
into one of the, say, Howrah
to Mumbai trains and then take another train from Mumbai to
Bangalore if it is convenient for you or just get a volvo bus if the
next train timings are too far apart. It takes almost the same amount
of time.
