The loudest portable speaker I've ever come across

by Sulla Xiao lumsing First and foremost, this portable wireless speaker is very durable and also waterproof, which as the description suggests, makes it ideal for all types of scenarios.
The speaker has an interesting design - there is a metal grill that protects the driver's dome from the top, on the sides there are buttons used for the functionality of the speaker. A play/pause button, a volume up and down button and a dedicated phone button (yes this speaker also has the ability to take calls). On one of the sides of the speaker there is a small carabiner, which allows the speaker to dangle off a strong point - this is great for camping trips as people often would like to use the speaker off the ground and/or place it somewhere. On the very same side, there is an audio aux input and a micro-USB input for charging.
Finally, underneath the speaker, you will find the power button.

The build quality on the speaker is really built to take a lot of punishment and it really does do the job. I've thrown it at a very fast rate on solid rock surfaces and it has simply bounced and deflected the damages.

However, in terms of it being waterproof, after putting it under the tap whilst playing music, the speaker not only failed but ceased working all-together - despite this being a little extreme another speaker I have survived the exact same test flawlessly. Which leads me to believe this Lumsing speaker isn't really waterproof.

Now in terms of sound quality, I was a little worried about it, as usually these speakers don't perform well. This wasn't the case with the Lumsing - it plays music very well. The highs are well pronounced, the mids are clear and the mid-bass coupled with the hints of sub-bass are very prominent.
Overall, the sound quality is extremely good for a small speaker. What I should also say, is that out of all the portable speakers I've ever reviewed, this speaker is by far, the loudest speaker that I've ever come across (of course you can turn it down easily, either by source or from the speaker itself). The volume this small thing can output is absolutely mind-blowing and very hard to believe. A set of speakers would be around the same volume as this portable speaker by Lumsing. I have been extremely impressed with it in terms of overall sound.

Finally, the battery life is very good too - it has lasted over 10hrs and for me is a sufficient amount for a speaker. It has yet to die yet and therefore shown that the iphone portable speakers is also built to provide a lot of juice.
