The Lord for The Body

¹² “Everything is permissible for me” — but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me” — but I will not be mastered by anything. ¹³ “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food” — but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. (1 Corinthians 6:12-13)

 

There are people from particular religion forbade their followers to eat certain types of animals. But the Word of God says all things we can eat in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, but the Word of God reminds us not to be enslaved by our passions and desires. Food is perishable and will be destroyed by God. But the Lord Jesus wants us to sanctify our bodies, do not mess with sin and lust. Why? That because our bodies belong to God. Just as our hearts and minds also belongs to God.

Therefore let us always be holy, do not use our bodies to serve sin, but use our bodies to serve the Lord.

 

 

Children of God's Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit Do Not Contaminate it With Sin and Lust
