1. The board consists of fourteen members appointed by Louisiana Attorney Supreme Court.
2. Louisiana State Bar Association appoints one member each year who is a lawyer with prior experience.
3. There are four members with different backgrounds appointed from general public.
4. One fourth of the board consists of minority community and thirty five percent given to women.
5. The total duration is three years and single member cannot continue more the two terms.
6. The board is divided into 9 members community and five members’ community.
7. Each community has separate powers and duties. Some duties are performed by board jointly.
