Peptides
usage has proven to be helpful in human beings to cure numerous
diseases. Researchers are still busy in labs to find out their other
medicinal uses. Melanotan 2, being one of the typically used peptides
in scientific researches has shown some positive effects acting as
sun protectants. Their other uses have been found in people suffering
from erectile dysfunction, to enhance the insulin sensitivity and in
nerve regeneration and neuroprotection.
Melanotan
2, also known as MT-2 is a synthetic peptide analog of alpha-MSH, a
hormone exists in the human body. Alpha-melanocyte, known by its
short form MSH/I-MSH, is a crucial member of the
melanocyte-stimulating hormones (MSHs) which excite melanogenesis,
the pigmentation process in which mammals are found to experience
certain changes in their complexion. Melanotan 2, which has the
structure Ac-Nle-cyclo[Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys]-NH2, has been shown
to be helpful in many other medicinal uses.
How
Melanotan 2 was Discovered?
Melanotan
2 was originated in the United States at the University of Arizona.
Researchers of Melanotan already knew that melanin is highly
effective to protect the human body against skin cancer, so they
brainstormed and came forward with some great results. The alpha-MSH
hormone in humans is known to cause melanogenesis which further
produces melanin, a skin pigment. The scientists continued to find
whether injecting this hormone could result into skin tanning or not.
The research worked, however, didn't help, as natural I-MSH has a
short half life that hindered its influence in therapies. After
researching more and combining several molecules together, finally
they managed to come up with a peptides which was 1000 times more
efficient than the natural I-MSH. They named it afamelanotide
(Melanotan 1) and later they proceeded with the researches and were
able to invent Melanotan II/ Melanotan 2.
Guidelines
For The Buyers
Before
you buy Melanotan 2 for lab purposes, here are a few things that you
must consider.
NOTE:
Beware of buying unlicensed and
untested powders.
Numerous
clinical trials are under operation using MT-II for a number of
health conditions and to research its other curative effects.
However, this potent drug is assumed to have a tremendous potential
to heal skin cancer in the near future.
