The Importance of a Real Picture of You, when you join!

by Joseph Botelho Investing One Gram at a Time
June 17, 2013

See who you are? Should be who you display, not some picture of whatever. Why would you do that? How "you brand and market" will reflect on your first impression. So please upload a real picture or l will disprove it.

Not really what l like doing, but l was not going to allow pictures of anything but who you are. Not sure how some of the pictures got approved, but that is another topic all on its own.

The key is when you upload a real picture of yourself, your display who you are and clients want to know, who they are dealing with, not some dumb cartoon picture......

If you're a serious marketer, then act like one... Why would you waste your time, efforts for the same results you got at the last place you displayed this type of mannerism?

So if you really want to benefit from what APSense has to offer, take some time and create the perfect brand of who, what your promoting. Learn the steps, all the information and training is here also for free.

You have a window of opportunity here. why do l say this for many reasons, one l been associated with Wincer Song and APSense since September 15, 2007, remember that date, for the simple reason my son's birthday?

Written many articles here got them displayed some even indexed, actually many of them get indexed even today like this one will.

Marketing is an Art, discipline, desire and you really have to understand the key factor on this make it or break it formula. You need to know your "WHY's."

To all your success,

The reason l posted this article was to help you succeed with your profile and make it brand-able. Your name becomes your brand along with a real picture of yourself, will provide a lot of confidence for the reader that you are a real person..

Awesome Post Joseph and I am completely Agree with you what you have said in this article. There is no question to approve dump cartoon and film actor or actress pictures. This is really ridiculous and does not make any sense.

Thanks Vishwajeet, APSense has always been about providing you with enough tools so you can create a true and effective way of marketing your brand. Nothing stands out more then your pictures... Why would anyone upload some useless, ineffective picture of meaningless value to his or her profile....confesses me totally..

I think many marketers fail to understand the importance of the branding process, which is a bit of a buzz word, which one may normally apply to a company that wants to create it's own identity. However, being recognizable as a real person, is for me a good enough reason to show your own face. I will admit I personally took a while to understand that and for over a year after I joined APSense displayed a picture of someone whose name I can't even remember, until a similar discussion "forced" me to look at it and after some thoughtful thinking and a discussion with a few friends, decided to add my real mug shot.

The number of requests for connections increased manifold and I am now (just for what it's worth...) even feeling more confident in my dealings with those I have the pleasure of interacting with. If you're promoting yourself as an entity and use a logo as your avatar, there's a loss of the personableness (new word according to my dictionary..) of what I think was originally behind the formation of APSense. It's anyway very easy to have your logo displayed as part of a separate business page.

Using APSense, as I have, to form alliances and friendships with the individuals who hang out here, are also easier when the Skype video looks the same as the mug shot avatar....

Hello Joe,

You have shared some great points here, much appreciated..

Most people have no concept on how to market, or even worse not taking advantage of how to market effectively.

Time is your biggest investment you can do, education is a life time process, so is marketing...

How you become good at what you do, create your brand as l have and your self and stick to a game plan, make some money along the way.

How l do it, why l have built a very solid foundation with in my primary business..

All the Best,

Joseph Botelho

Thank you my namesake friend... I also wonder how many times members sign on as someone else and have to use a logo or celebrity avatar , as they are known, might have been removed before or spoilt it at some stage... there are also a very easy ways to check the validity of an avatar, thanks to places like Facebook, Tineye and a few others. Finally, the feeling of finding out someone is using another's pic to hide their true identity nowadays leave a feeling of distrust in my mind...

I Totally agree with you on this one Joe.... No idea why people here are still trying to up load a picture of some thing else...just up load your personal picture saves me time from having to disapprove it!!

Have you used www.tineye.com at all? You take the url of the pic to tineye and it searches the internet for where that pic appears, with the url's - it's a free service. Your picture, for example appears at 7 sites...

Not sure why anyone would up load a picture of anything other then who they are. First of all l would not buy any product or service from a guy/woman who has a picture of anything other then who they are.... SO WHY ARE YOU UPLOADING PICTURE THAT MAKE NO SENSE... WASTING OUR TIME, BY DELETING THEM....

@Joe Henning, I have just checked out tineye and it is cool. How do you check an Avatar on Facebook?

Hi Josh, would tineye not work for an avatar too? Try it and if not, you could also (from within chrome) search for image on google... interesting stuff may jump out at you, so have the pepper spray ready... ;-)
