The India is a land of vivid culture and customs. It has a strong heritage with different caste systems. Vividness comes with their likes and dislikes. The Indians are differentiated from others with their style of dressing sense, such as some women love to wear designer sarees, while other love to wear salwar suits. It is well known fact that foreigners love the Indian traditional dress. Every state of India has its own dress style, let’s discover the great Indian dress from this blog.

 


  1. The Delhi, Capital OF India – Rich cultural heritage, splendid diversity, and secular democracy makes India different from other countries. Here people are more conscious about their dressing outfit. The Delhi is not only for delhities, but people come from many states, so we get Indian traditions and customs in a united manner.
  2. Here women prefer Churidars salwar kameez, and Dupatta, men prefer kurtas and pajamas.
  3. Himachal Pradesh reflects the great Indian cultural and religious diversity. The dresses comprises of the Kurta, waistcoat, turban by the dhoti-clad Brahmans. The Rajputs prefer to wear starch-stiffed turban with unique mold. A true weaving talent is visible from such unique dresses.

Women here love to wear Churidars kurtas as girl prefers salwar kameez with bright color Dupatta, while the men go with traditional Kurta pajamas.
  7. The Uttar Pradesh people guided to wear geographical related outfits, like sarees among Hindu women, while salwar kameez, lenghas, gararas, and shararas wear by Muslim women.
  8. The Rajasthan, a beautiful state of India, consists of the bravery stories of great leaders like Maharana Pratap. No, doubt the cultural lifestyle is very different here, as people love to enjoy traditional outfits. The traditional dress of Rajasthan includes Odhini, Ghaghara, and Choli, which is preferred by the women.
  9. The dress of Haryana includes shirt, dhoti, turban and shoes by the men, while women love to wear ghaghri, shirt, printed orhini, angia, and lenghas.
  10. Women at Uttarakhand love to wear Pichora Ghaghara, Ghaghara Lehenga and Choli. Here Sarong is also preferred by the women.
  11. The white attire is mainly preferred by the Kerala men and women. The Mundu and Neriyatu is the traditional dress of the Kerala people.
  12. The Andhra Pradesh women love to wear Saree and blouse, while the men here wear Dhoti and Kurta.
  13. The Tamil Nadu women donned with Indian designer saree and blouse. The men here prefer lungi with shirt along with Angavastra.
  14. Do you know which state is the silk hub of India? No problem let’s explore the Karnataka, the silk hub of India. This state gives an abundant variety of silks name sleek chiffons, gorgeous brocades and smooth silks. The traditional dress of Karnataka women is the regal silk sarees.
  15. The traditional dress wear by Guajarati women is the Ghaghara, red or black chunis, cholis, and odhini. Looking Gujarati women intricately gives an eye-catching look. These dresses are intricately embroidered and highly stylish keeping traditional value alive.
  16. The Madhya Pradesh Dress reflects the multiplicity of the weaver work as here vivid textile techniques are used to reflect the traditional designed dress. Women dress is lenhgha and Choli, while the men wear Dothi and safa.
