It is sometimes difficult to conjure up an essay that your professor will find absolutely incredible. This is in spite of essay writing being a key determinant of the final grade that you score. Various essay writing formats have been drafted, and some institutions even have their custom way which they expect students to write their essays. Most of these formats are all modification of the five-paragraph essay format which is the topic of this article.

Strategize

Most online essay writing services and Topwritingreviews claim that a student should take the time to plan his or her writing. The first task when writing essays is drawing up of a draft. After a thorough research exercise, you now must create an outline that helps you decide exactly where everything goes within the essay. At this stage, you do not have to be overly concerned with perfection. The primary concern is getting your ideas and thoughts to flow. Your draft helps you create a three-part essay consisting of:

·         An introduction that introduces the essay to the reader

·         A body that has about three paragraphs explaining the main topic using illustrations and examples

·         A conclusion that summarizes and concludes your writing

The Introduction

The perfect introductory paragraph draws the reader into your paper. It does this by telling the reader what the paper is about in a way that inspires curiosity and a desire to read on. The pattern and style of writing used in the introduction should lift your writing so that the reader looks forward to reading the essay. Essential elements of the introduction include a thesis statement that tells the reader of the position that your essay takes on the topic. This paragraph must also have a transitional hook which moves the reader to the body of the essay.

The Body

A student writing an essay should strive to display two crucial attributes

·         Knowledge- most of the situations require you to write an essay that tests your ability to consolidate and process what you have been taught. This is why your professors consider essay writing to be an essential element in the grading process. Your writing must depict high levels of knowledge of the subject.

·         Comprehension- your writing needs to show that you can synthesize and make sense of the complex issues pertinent to the essay. You must express to the person marking the paper that you understand the essay question and that you are able to compose an appropriate response to it.

These attributes should then be tied up nicely in three or more paragraph within the body of the essay. Begin by expressing your strongest arguments backed by the most brilliant illustrations and examples. The weakest argument should be placed in the last paragraph of the body.

Conclusion

The conclusion is just as important as the rest of your essay. Messing up the conclusions may adversely affect your performance in essay writing. This shouldn’t merely tell the reader that your writing has come to an end; it should also beautifully summarize the entire essay.
