The Best Youth Baseball Bats

1. 2016 DeMarini CF8
The DeMarini CF8 is the best all around bat out there. It has some nice pop and it has a balance point that is close to the handle, meaning it is not top heavy and will be easy to swing. It is a two-piece bat, but DeMarini designed the bat in a way that limits vibration when the ball is hit off the handle or end of the bat. This will also cause the ball to travel a but farther than other bats. The CF8 has been around for almost 8 years now, and that speaks volumes to the consistency of the bat and why it continues to dominate dugouts year in and year out. DeMarini uses very high quality aluminum, which makes the bat very durable.
While the bat is priced around $350, it is a great investment due to the fact that is has the potential to make you/your son a better hitter. It is worth every penny. I would recommend this bat to any youth baseball player.
2. 2016 Rawlings 5150
The 5150 is the best one-piece bat on the market. For those of you that don't know the difference between one and two piece bats, I will summarize it for you. One-piece bats have more pop when the ball is hit off the sweet spot, but they tend to be more top heavy and do not have much pop when it comes to hitting of the inside or outside part of the bat. Two-piece bats tend to be lighter and will help the ball travel farther when hit off the end or handle of the bat. Two-piece bats normally have less pop than one-piece ones. The 5150 is a bat that is very easy to swing considering it is only one piece. Be careful with this bat, though, as it may not be for everyone. I would only recommend it to advanced hitters or players that are looking to put a few more balls over the fence. A player should work on consistently hitting the ball before using a one piece bat.
The 5150 can be bought for around $300
3. DeMarini Voodoo Raw
The Voodoo Raw is very similar to the CF8. They are both two-piece bats and have similar amounts of pop. They are also both quite durable. The only major difference between the two is that the Voodoo Raw is much easier to swing. In some instances, it is too easy to swing. You may be wondering how that is possible, and I will tell you that you don't want to be too far out in front of the ball when you swing. You should learn to use both sides of the field when hitting to maximize your potential.
The Voodoo Raw is a very solid overall bat that will cost you anywhere from $210 to $270. I would recommend this bat to any player that may be late with their swing or struggling at the plate. For more in-depth reviews, check out best youth baseball bats on the Everything Baseball website.
