The BMW 3 Series is a compact executive car that was introduced in 1975 and is now in its 7th generation with its first-generation available as a 2-door sedan and later includes a 2-door convertible, 2-door coupe, 3-door hatchback, 4-door sedan, 5-door station wagon, and 5-door liftback body style.

The 7th generation BMW 3 series offers an increase in interior space with an almost 15-mm increase in legroom and 8-mm in the headroom for the comfortability of drivers and passengers. For the BMW 3 Series diesel engines: the BMW 316d Saloon/Touring 4-cylinder producing 116 hp and 270 Nm with a top speed between 127-124mph, the BMW 318d Saloon/Touring 4-cylinder producing 150 hp and 270 Nm with a top speed 130-134 mph, the BMW 320d Saloon/Touring 4-cylinder producing 190hp and 400Nm with a top speed of 143-146mph (140-143)mph, the BMW 320d ED Plus ED Sport Saloon/Touring 4-cylinder producing 163 hp and 400 Nm at a top speed between 138-143mph, the BMW 320d xDrive Saloon/Touring 4-cylinder producing 190 hp and 400 Nm at a top speed between 142-145mph, the BMW 330d/330d xDrive Saloon/Touring 6-cylinder producing 258 hp and 560 Nm at a top speed of 155mph and the BMW 33d xDrive Saloon/Touring 6-cylinder producing 313 hp and 630 Nm with a top speed of 155mph.
