Twin Cities NBMBAA 2011 Entrepreneur of the year

Our president, Donald Bryant, received the 2011 National Black MBA Association – Twin Cities Chapter Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He is seen here in this photo with Ken Charles, Vice President of Human Resources at General Mills. Donald at the chapter’s annual Award Gala, spoke on how “staying focused” and “faith” is essential to enduring the many ensuing challenges that arise. “This award was a tremendous honor and to be recognized by my peers and partners of this great organization is truly humbling. I accept this award on behalf of our team and our families as this would not have been possible without their tremendous sacrifice and support”.

The President of the United States of America, Barak Obama, shakes hands with Donald Bryant at an event in Minneapolis. Donald was part of a group of leaders who had an opportunity to meet with then Senator Obama.

Northside Minneapolis Redevelopment Involvement

Camille Bryant here emceeing the grand opening of a redevelopment project (mixed use office space) in North Minneapolis (1200 Building). Camille directed the project and team to build out the first community kitchen that is housed in the building. Donald was one of the program speakers at the event. The Building was the first office space leased by Alden Group. The Mayor of Minneapolis was also on the ticket along with other prominent local politicians.

B. Smith and Joan Bryant

Joan Bryant attended a Women in Business event that took place in Detroit, Michigan were B.Smith was the keynote speaker. Needless to day it was a great event! B. Smith Enterprises has been a long time partner of Alden’s since the beginning.

Michigan State University-Broad School Business Plan and Pitch Competition

MSU Alum (twice over), Donald Bryant was invited to share entrepreneurial insights to students at the Broad School of Management at Michigan State University.  This was the  3rd annual Broad School Business Plan and Graduate School Pitch Competition.   “It is always a great privilege to return to the Broad School. It is inspiring to see what the next generation of entrepreneurs are working on!”
