The advantages of selling empty toner cartridges to Toner Trader
Toner Trader is a trading company in the UK that has realized the necessity of recycling cartridges. The team is committed to recycle empty toner cartridges for the sake of the environment. If you dump an empty toner cartridge without regard to its consequences, these are some of the harmful effects of the same:
Environmental harm:
Dumping a toner cartridge threatens the environment and the life cycle. Small forms of life such as insects, plants and underground seeds are stunted in their growth. It takes 1,000 years for the toners to decompose cartridges naturally as it contains multiple engineering grade polymers.
Health hazards:
Unsafe disposal of ink leads to acute health hazards like skin irritation, redness, swelling and other chronic and harmful effects. It harms the respiratory system in case of prolonged inhalation. The International Agency of Research on Cancer (IARC) has diversified carbon black as a carcinogenic material. Its excessive use in toner powder can create a harmful effect on human health.
Economic loss:
A new toner is made of 55%-65% Styrene Acrylate Copolymer. It consists of harmful carbon black, 30%-40% of Iron Oxide and also 3-4 quarts of oil. An amount of sensitive plastic and aluminium materials are also utilised to create the ink. All these ingredients are very expensive which is responsible for great economic loss especially when the cartridges are thrown into landfill sites after using.
