The 5-5 Rule: Things That Will Help You Rediscover Your Inner Self

Work is a part of life. But do not make it your life. Know that there is more to life than just your work. And that isyou. You may work all you can, and no matter how much you earn, if you do not give yourself time, nothing will seem enough. Hence, you will work more and more, and the result always remains the same, frustration.

In this blog, I, Pinchus Gold, am about to tell you 5 things that you should do every day for 5 minutes each. Although I cannot force you to do these, I can tell you that you will be much happier. All you have to do is sit down, in a quiet room and do these 5 things. Dedicate25 minutes per day, and you will see how you will get better at what you do and at being a better person.

Here are 5 things that you should do every day:

1.     Let go of time: For five minutes, sit down and accept the fact that you cannot control time. You might miss something or the other and that is totally alright. Do what you can, not all that needs to be done. Breathe in the moment and feel yourself submerged in it. Let go of time and I, Rabbi Pinchs Gold, assure you that you will find that you are able to do things better.

 

2.    Think about the good that you have done: Most of us are unsatisfied with ourselves only because we see the work that we could not do. Think beyond that. There’s more to you than work. Think about all the good deeds you have done. Helped a friend, a stranger, an animal, or anything. Think about how you are a part of the world and Pinchs Gold gives his word to you that you will feel stronger.


3.  Stop judging yourself:Sit down, try to quiet yourself. Stop asking unanswerable questions about yourself. There’s more to you than you think. I, Pinchs Gold, a rabbi, assure you that judging is a flaw of mankind. Stop judging yourself and others. You do not know what someone is going through. So do not point fingers. Open your heart and your mind shall be open as well.

 

4.   Take control of habit. Don’t let it control you: Do not meditate today. Do your work. Find out if you can get back to meditation the next day. This is a test to yourself. See if you can control your habits or do they control you. Find out and then go on accordingly. Be the perfect pendulum that swings between its two extremes in the perfect motion.


5.     Set a limit: Accept the fact that you cannot do everything all at once. Figure out the things that you have to get done and the things that can wait to be done later. Do not get anxious if you are unable to do all that you were supposed to do. Many a times, in doing so, we lose concentration and interest and the results are not good.

I,Pinchus Gold, give you my word that if you do these 5 things every day for 5 minutes, the results will surprise you. They will make you be happy about yourself. And if you think that these won’t work, ask yourself this question: If you did not have this job, would you like yourself just as much as you do now?
