also the winter capital of Maharashtra and is a beautiful city where there are

There are
many places in Nagpur that one should not give a miss while they are planning a

Ramtek Temple: This is a very small town area which is within
the city of Nagpur. This place is famous for the Ramtek Temple where people
worship the huge idol of Lord Rama. There is a famous story that goes around
about the origin of this temple. It is said that this temple was built here, as
per the myth goes, when Lord Rama was going to exile of 14 years with his
brother Lakshmana and wife Sita, he took rest here. This huge temple area
consists of 24 temples within it. This place is also famous because the great
poet Kalidasa wrote ‘Meghduta’ here.
Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary: This wildlife sanctuary is divided
into two parts; the old Nagzira and the new Nagzira. It is located in the
Satpura mountain range, and when one takes a safari in this sanctuary, they can
see sambar, langur, tiger, leopard and wild boars.
Markanda: This is a very small town near Nagpur, which
is now completely in ruins. This small town is located at the banks of Wayganga
River and has a lot of ruined temples which stood high once. This place is a
pleasure vacation for the history lovers.
Seminary Hills: This is a small hillock which is situated 6 kilometres
away from the city and one can take a small drive to reach there. After
reaching its peak, one will get a beautiful view of the entire city of Nagpur
from here. In the bottom of the hillock there is a Japanese garden and the
Satpura Botanical garden where one can enjoy a picnic with their family and
friends.
Taste the local flavours of Nagpur
While
having a vacation in Nagpur, one can dig into the various delicacies served by
the local people here. When someone is looking for food delivery at train in Nagpur station, they should know that
gravy is the most common thing in every local dish served here. There is a very
spicy and chilli curry, which is prepared here and is a local favourite. One
can try this dish only if they have a fetish for spicy dishes. Other than this,
the common dishes available here are Poha, stuffed eggplants and Pitla Bhikari
(a dish, which is made from powdered lentils). One must try Koshambhir, which
is the traditional thali here. Among non vegetarian dishes, there is a stem
cooked spicy chicken which one should give a try.
Thus, Nagpur is a blend of tradition and contemporary values.
